ADOPTED! 7/6/2008

Lizzie

Estimated Birthday June 6, 2002

A perfect little black and tan baby doll, Lizzie is under five pounds and just four years old. Only a home with a safe and secure fence, no hyper active large dogs or small children, and a family that can appreciate how delicate and precious she is will be considered to adopt this little angel. Lizzie is a bit intimidated by strangers, but is a typical Chihuahua with those she trusts.

If you can offer this tiny little love a safe forever home, please apply.

ADOPTED! 7/12/2008

Oakley

Birthday approx December 13, 2004

Darling little Oakley was a stray in Albuquerque. He had a badly broken leg when he was found and taken to the Albuquerque Eastside shelter. He was not reclaimed and no one wanted to adopt him so we decided we had to save him. Our vet has set and pinned his tiny leg. They are so thin and fragile!

Through it all he has been so very good. After several months of cast changes and loving care, Oakley is back playing with the other foster dogs. Only six pounds, Oakley is a sweet little boy with many years of love to give to a family without young children or rambunctious pets that may cause him further harm.

If you are looking for a dainty little friend to spoil you must meet our little prince.

UPDATE: Oakley has recovered from his broken leg, but has not overcome his need to be pampered. He is timid with strangers but is totally committed to keeping a lap warm. If you would like to have a little dog that depends on you for everything (he really is a little drama queen) please consider Oakley. He will take every thing you have to offer and ask for just a little bit more on top. He needs his own human security blanket. Do you need someone who needs you? Do you need someone to love? It won’t take much to keep him happy - just you.

ADOPTED! 07/15/2008

Alabama and Banjo

Birthday January 13, 2008.

These two tiny little buttons were born on January 13th to our lovely Susanna. The owner surrendered momma to us to make sure the puppies would be born in a safe place. They were worried that the puppies might have to be taken by caesarian because they think daddy was a bigger dog. The puppies were born naturally, but the third little sister only lived for a couple of days. A heart break for all of us. We have the ashes of little “Susanna Angel" in our memorial niche.

We don’t know how big these little sweeties will grow up to be, but they are cute as they can be right now. There is no doubt they will grow up to be incredible little dogs. Momma is one of the sweetest Chihuahuas and the foster mom gave them a lot of attention. We want to adopt them together since they have been such a wonderful pair to keep each other company and into and out of trouble.

ADOPTED! 07/30/2008

Riley

Estimated Birthday June 25, 2004

Riley was found as a stray in Albuquerque and we can only guess, because of his injuries,  that he was hit by a car. He had surgery to repair a broken leg but has recovered incredibly well. He loves to run and play in the back yard with the other Chihuahuas but really enjoys lounging with his foster family at the end of the day. Riley is a terrific little dog that will make a loving companion for a home with other small dogs or a family that can provide some activity to keep him busy.

About three years old and around nine pounds, Riley has been in foster care for over a year and needs to find a family of his own to give him the love he deserves.

ADOPTION FEE $150

ADOPTED! 06/09/2008

Lollypop

Birthday approx June 25, 2007

The owner of this little dog handed her over in the parking lot. He was on the way to turn her in at the shelter, but one of our volunteers was there and said we would take her in. She was tiny and sweet and very sick. Her tests were negative for Parvo, Giardia and worms, but she was dehydrated and needed veterinary attention. After a few days of fluids and lots of loving care, Lollipop bounced back and hasn’t looked back!

This little baby doll will make someone so happy to have her in their home. However, if it is you be prepared to be wrapped around a little paw. She is a bit of a Diva.

ADOPTED! 5/23/2008

Grant

Birthday approx February 25, 2006

Elegantly attired in his tuxedo birthday suit, Grant is ready to make a grand entrance into your life. Just barely out of the puppy stage, he is ready to learn the art of intellectual conversation using tail wags and polite bows. This handsome little man is eager to please and will make a great companion for a family that is looking for a little adventure mixed with cocktail hours with rawhide chews.

Grant is full of young dog enthusiasm so is looking for a home that can offer plenty of exercise and supervision. About one year old and just over seven pounds, he will grow up to be a sophisticated gentleman if he is given a bit of training.

ADOPTED! 5/23/2008

Gum Drop

Birthday approx November 21, 2007.

Well, we really just don’t know what to call our sweet little Gum Drop, except cute. She was at the City of ABQ Care Center, but had a skin problem so was not adopted. They asked is we would take her and see if we could treat her and get her a wonderful home. They thought she was just too special to not make the effort. We agree.

This little dog is just under 10 pounds and only a little over a year old. She has a medium length coat and a lovely flagged tail. Gum Drop will make a terrific little companion for almost any home. What a love bug!

ADOPTED! 05/10/2008

Valentine

Birthday approx June 3, 2006.

Poor little girl had been adopted and then passed from home to home until she ended up in a place with several large dogs and one small chain link kennel. Thank God someone was there to pull her out of the pen when one of the dogs attacked her or she would have been killed. As it was, she had puncture wounds on her hip, flank and abdomen. The owners released her to animal control in Artesia and they asked if we would take her.

She was attacked on Sunday and it wasn’t until Tuesday we could get her transported to our veterinarian. She had been given pain meds and antibiotics, but we didn’t know the extent of her injuries. One of the puncture in her side ripped the interior of the abdominal wall and her intestine was nicked and exposed. A couple of hours of surgery to rearrange and suture and we put her on fluids, more antibiotics and prayers.

She came with the name of Abby, but the terror in her eyes and screams of fear when we tried to handle her helped us to decide to change her name and her future. She is now our darling Valentine. She is happy to see us and gives tentative kissed. Her physical wounds are nearly healed, but her mind is a few steps behind. She is so incredibly beautiful! With just a little bit of time we know she will be happy, as well.

ADOPTED! 05/30/2008

Frost

Birthday approx October 6, 2006

This poor fellow came to us from the Santa Fe shelter. His mom and four siblings were taken from an owner who couldn’t - or wouldn’t - provide the care they needed. All of them had mange and were half or nearly completely hairless from the infestation of mites. The tiniest pup died shortly after we got them. A second was euthanized because of the sever damage to his health from the mites and poor care by the original owner. Two other pups have gone on to new homes. Just Frost and his mom, Misty, are still looking for families that will love them forever.

Frost is about fifteen pounds. We think he is a Chihuahua mixed with some kind of terrier or possibly Chinese Crested. He is a very happy and active dog that would love to go to a home with kids that can play for hours during the day, but want to have a small dog on their lap in the evening. Even better, a nice warm body to sleep with at night. Frost is a great little dog that can teach a family what love is all about.

ADOPTED! 05/17/2008

Lacey

Estimated Birthday July 3, 2005

You can see intelligence in Lacey’s big, black eyes. She is a mischievous and active girl that plays practically 24-7 with her foster ”brother”, Adam. She is a vocal dog and likes to ”talk” to her foster mom. She walks very well on a leash, has learned how to use the doggy door, and loves to sleep curled up under the bedcovers.

Lacey gets very attached to people and will do best in a home where someone can keep her busy, but can also use “dog whisper’s” training to help her be a bit more independent. She will make a great companion for a special family that understands her insecurities and help her become the perfect little dog she wants so much to be. She will do anything to please - if she knows what it is that you want. Whatever you give, Lacey will return 100%

ADOPTED! 5/23/2008

Denzel

Birthday approx May 5, 2007.

Maybe he was hit by a car. Or maybe he was dropped, stepped on, or even tossed. There are dozens of ways a healthy, young dog could suffer such a serious break in his leg. Whatever happened, this little sweet heart ended up at the City of ABQ shelter and no one claimed him. But, his terrific personality saved his life. The staff called to ask if we would take him in and give him a chance for a loving home. How could we say no?

Denzel is a handsome and loving little dog. He is probably a Chihuahua x Dachshund mix - a bit longer than he is tall. He will probably weight about nine or ten pounds when he is full grown. Denzel gets along with the other dogs and loves to run and play. He begs for kisses and wiggles for hugs. Somewhere there is a lucky family waiting to find a snuggle bug that is still full of puppy love. Denzel will fit right into that space.

ADOPTED! 04/26/2008

Devon

Birthday approx 10-23-2006

The owner brought this tiny little four pound boy to the veterinary clinic with a broken leg. They said he jumped off the couch and it snapped. They could not afford to have the leg pinned and did not want to have him euthanized so surrendered him to be placed in our rescue. It has been a long haul; over three months of tender care by his foster mom and lots of trips to the vet, but it looks like his leg will mend well.

Devon’s veterinary bills are well over $1,200 so far and will total close to $1,500 before he is ready for adoption. If you would like to help cover his expenses please click on the link below or mail your donation to: Quixote Humane, P.O. Box 1285, Peralta, NM 87042.

ADOPTED! 04/26/2008

Buck

Estimated Birthday: November 24, 2002

This sweet little boy was surrendered by his owner because he didn’t get along with her new boyfriend. She got him as a puppy, she says, and had owned him for only two years. We don’t think he is quite that young, our estimate is more like four  years old.

He is doing great in his foster home, where he is loved by all, including the man of the house. Buck is only six pounds and has a very unusual looking red coat with a sheen of silver. He had very bad teeth and lost several when we did his dental. The tip of his tongue now sticks out just a tiny bit and adds to his charm. This little boy will make a great companion for someone who will give him enough attention so he doesn’t have to express his opinion in a negative manner. (He peed on the boyfriends leg).

ADOPTED! 04/18/2008

Bongo

Birthday approx September 21, 2005.

Picked up as an injured stray in Albuquerque, Bongo was taken to the Albuquerque Animal Care Center where they assessed him and decided he needed to get into rescue as soon as possible because of injuries - probably hit-by-car. We picked him up and took him to our vet were we found out that he had a dislocated hip joint and major road rash! After putting the ball of the joint back into the socket and splinting the leg we brought Bongo back for three weeks of cage rest. Fortunately, we were able to get him treated right away and he is doing great.

Bongo is about two years old and weighs nine and a half pounds. He is getting along well with the other foster dogs, including several dominate personalities. He is learning crate training and has mastered the doggie door. With a little more training he will be a great companion for a family with school aged kids to keep him busy.

He was lucky that his injuries were so easily repaired. Now someone will be lucky to bring this loving little boy into their home.

ADOPTED! 04/26/2008

Monty II

Birthday approx May 22, 2007.

The family that owned Monty “you gotta love the baby” had too many dogs and released him and his three litter mates to the shelter in Artesia. They are all lovely little dogs, just a bit timid. It will only take a week or two for them to settle into a new home with a family who can offer a stable environment.

Monty is about nine pounds and is an unusual fawn color with a shimmer of blue on his very short, smooth coat. His foster mom says he loves to play tug-o-war and runs with the other dogs. He loves to sleep under the covers and is very affectionate. He uses the doggie door or piddle pad if it is locked.

ADOPTED! 04/26/2008

Kelly

Birthday approx May 22, 2007.

The family that owned Kelly “I am too cute for rules” had too many dogs and released her and her three litter mates to the shelter in Artesia. They are all lovely little dogs, just a bit timid. It will only take a week or two for them to settle into a new home with a family who can offer a stable environment.

Kelly is about seven pounds and has the prettiest little black mask. Her foster mom says she full of energy and loves to play with the other dogs. And, when she wears out the dogs she tries to get the cat to play. Her favorite pastime to play fetch. She loves to sleep under the covers and is very affectionate. Who could resist this darling little face?

ADOPTED! 04/16/2008

Mitzie

Birthday approx February 10, 2006.

The owner of this tiny little girl accidentally stepped on her and broke her leg. Unfortunately the family was in the middle of some very hard times and could not even afford to have it x-rayed, let alone pinned and cast. Our vet tried to work with them, to make it possible for them to keep her, but her family decided it was in her best interest to release her to rescue.

Mitzie is a tiny, three pound baby girl. She is very affectionate and loves to be cuddled. We are looking for a home that can be aware of her tiny needs - no young children or rambunctious dogs please. This little girl has been loved and cherished all of her life and does not have the issues that some of our stray and shelter transfer dogs often have.

Of course, she is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She will be ready for a loving new home as soon as her leg has healed - probably the end of February. We are accepting applications in the meantime.

ADOPTED! 04/26/2008

Scarlett

Birthday approx November 8, 2001.

Released as a puppy mill mommy by a high volume breeder, Scarlett was only a couple of weeks away from whelping her single puppy. We usually spay or neuter as soon as we get a new dog in, but we also usually let a near term mom deliver her puppies. We didn’t know she was so far along. It has been hard for her, and us,  to get over the loss of her pup. She carries around a soft toy and burrows into her blanket with it. However, she is becoming more playful and is very affectionate with her foster mom now.

Scarlett does a cute smile, showing her teeth when she is happy. She would love to have a home that can cuddle her and treat her like the baby that she so dearly misses. We think she is about six years old and weighs about eight pounds. She is a precious little gal that deserves a home to spoil her rotten! What joy this little darling will bring to a loving home.

ADOPTED! 04/26/2008

Susanna

Birthday approx January 26, 2006.

Passed from one home to another, Susanna ended up in a home with big dogs and the owners were concerned that she would be injured. A friend stepped in and said she would try to find a safe place for her. Unfortunately, it turned out she had already been accidentally bred. Worried that she might have large puppies, since the father is unidentified, she asked if we would take her in to whelp the puppies and find her and the babies loving homes.

Susanna had three puppies on June 19th. The second pup, Angel, did not survive.

Susanna is a nearly perfect Chihuahua. She is beautiful and loving, small and a great mom to boot. When she weans her puppies she will be spayed and ready for a new home. If you are looking for a wonderful companion and are willing to wait about three months, you should consider applying to adopt this wonderful, nearly perfect, little girl. The puppies will be available as foster-to-adopt then, too.

ADOPTED! 04/03/2008

Wally

Birthday approx October 22, 2005

How he ended up in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Artesia is any ones guess. Why some of the shoppers started tormenting him as he scavenged food and lived under the shopping carts is even more baffling. Fortunately the Humane Society was able to get him and send him to us to find him a new and loving home.

Though he was timid at first, Wally has turned into an amazingly social and loving dog.

Wally is about two years old and weighs about ten pounds. He is great with other dogs, school aged kids and pretty much everyone he meets. Wouldn’t you just love to look into those eyes every day?

ADOPTED! 04/22/2008

Demetrius

Birthday November 25, 2003

One of our tiniest little gems, Demetrius is a precious little four and a half pound sweetheart. He loves to cuddle and snuggles into his blanket when he is not being held. He gets along very well with the other dogs in the foster home, but would be delighted to be an only child so he can get more hugs and kisses.

He has a problem with the tear duck in his left eye, so needs to have drops put in twice a day, but he doesn’t mind it at all. In fact, he loves the extra attention.

If you are looking for a tiny little one to pamper our little Demetrius is your boy!

UPDATE: After repeated infections and the discomfort of the irritation, we decided to remove Deeter’s left eye. Through it all he has been a sweet and happy little guy and doesn’t miss the pain of the dry eye condition or the loss of vision. He is a precious little snuggle bug! If you are interested in having a tiny little angel to spoil please meet our “Deeter.”

ADOPTED! 03/16/2008

Peppermint Patty

Birthday approx January 1999.

It seems unbelievable, but the shelter says this little dog was abandoned in a home for three months. It doesn’t seem possible that she could have survived. Her companion cat did not, he was found dead on top of the refrigerator.

PNM “red tagged” the home, and the owner, who lives back East, gave permission for them to go in. The neighbors say the last they saw of the renters was just after the home was tagged three months earlier. Part of the roof had collapsed, and they said the dog was living on cardboard and rat poop. She only weighed 2.4 pounds.

The service man was on the way to the shelter with her to be euthanized, but he called the local Humane Society to see if they would take her. They said  bring her there to see if they could save her. After a couple of weeks of good food, she gained almost two pounds. She was transferred to us to continue her care. We put her on antibiotics and had a dental done. She has almost no teeth left on the top, but is able to eat well now. When she is closer to her ideal weight - which we think will be about five and a half to six pounds - we will have her spayed and microchipped.

After all she has endured we want to make sure she goes to a home that will pamper and spoil her until her last breath. If you would like to be the one to give this sweet baby a loving forever home, please contact us and we can let you know how she is doing.

ADOPTED! 2/24/2008

Taffy

Birthday Estimated 7-18-2006

Taffy was trying to deliver her puppies but she was not able to pass the first one. She was taken to the emergency veterinary clinic where she had a cesarean to deliver the live puppy. The first little guy didn’t make it. All too often small Chihuahuas are not able to deliver their puppies on their own. The cost to do the surgery is high and many families are not prepared to pay for the care the mom and puppies need. Taffy’s family surrendered her to rescue.

Taffy’s surviving pup is a fluffy little fellow we named “Candy Man.” They will both be available for adoption in February. Candy Man will be placed in a foster-to-adopt home. He will be neutered when he is about five months old.

Note From the President: This little sweetheart is one of the most incredible little dogs we have had the privilege to rescue. If I could I would keep this baby for myself. She is small, gorgeous and has a loving temperament. She is truly enchanting.

ADOPTED! 2/24/2008

Bianca

Birthday approx February 2006

Bianca and her sister, Bridgett, were found as strays in the Clovis area. They were both half naked from a horrible case of ringworm. The rescue that took them in treated them for several months and they were almost healed when the rescuer had to go to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Before she went she arranged for all of her foster dogs to go to other rescues.

When they were completely recovered we had the two girls spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped.

Bianca is probably a Chihuahua x Rat Terrier mix. She weighs just over eight pounds. We love her white coat with black spots on her neck and tummy. She is a sweet girl that loves to cuddle. Bianca is a bit more quiet than her sister and will be a good companion in a home with well mannered children.

ADOPTED! 03/17/2008

Morning Star

Birthday approx July 18, 2005.

Morning Star was surrendered to the City of ABQ shelter by her owner. We don’t know why, but assume it is because she is not good with children. She is a young dog but needs a quiet home, without young kids or a lot of activity.

She is not a social butterfly that is going to enjoy being “taken everywhere with you.” If you are looking for a dog that prefers to be a couch potato and watch reruns of old movies, eat popcorn, and stand by you through thick and thin (which her previous owners weren’t able to do) Morning Star may be the perfect little friend for you. She is a lovely girl, only about two years old and weighs about eleven pounds.

ADOPTION FEE $200

ADOPTED! 03/10/2008

Mia

Birthday approx 6-25-06

Lovely little “Momma Mia” was only a puppy herself when she gave birth to seven little angels on June 25th. It is truly amazing that all seven puppies survived and now are thriving. What a grand little dog she is!

This precious little dog has the sweetest personality - full of love and energy. Some lucky family will have her darling face to look at every morning and kiss “sweet dreams” every night.

Mia is about eight pounds and has a lovely red and tan coat. She has an endearing under bite with one lower tooth that sometimes shows when she smiles.

The puppies have been weaned and have all been adopt.

ADOPTED! 2/24/2008

Marshmallow Crème

Estimated Birthday  April 2006

A tiny little Chihuahua was taken to the Pet ER because she had been in labor for too long and the first pup was lodged in the birth canal. The owners decided to release her because they could not afford to have the necessary cesarean section done to save her and any remaining puppies. The first puppy was already dead. The second survived, but the third did not make it.

All white, little Marshmallow is a real little cutie pie that weighs about five and a half pounds. She is only a little over a year old so is still feisty and full of IT! She would like to be the queen bee in the hive, so a home with dogs that can accept a pushy little thing would be great.

She will not be appropriate for a home with young children and would prefer to be the only child if the family can be available to cater to her whims.

ADOPTED! 02/11/2008

Hershey

Birthday approx February 10, 2003

It is hard to imagine what life was like for Hershey and his “pack” living in a house full of forty seven dogs, and two people. For what ever reason the owners, at some point, decided that the dogs should not be let outside. Unfortunately, they also stopped cleaning up after them. The dogs were confiscated and taken to the shelter, where most were euthanized.

We took eight of the smaller dogs. Hershey is one of them. We really don’t know what mix he is. Probably Chihuahua, maybe some terrier, and perhaps some of the South American Xolo breed, as well.

Hershey is getting used to the idea that people are fun to be with. He already knows that dogs are great fun. He enjoys zoom doggie chases around the yard and tumbles with both the larger and smaller dogs. A compact and solidly built boy, he will make a great companion for a family that likes to spend time outdoors. We think he might be just a bit smarter than the average dog and should learn new commands quickly. He is just a big Hershey kiss!

ADOPTED! 1/26/2008

Cassie

Birthday approx September 15, 2007

Cassie was found in a cardboard box in the parking lot of Wal-Mart with a note to give her Pedilite. Obviously the person who left her there knew she was sick. She was taken to the Artesia shelter where they found her temperature was so low it wouldn’t register on their thermometer. They rushed her to their vet who stabilized her and called us to see if we would take her and treat her for Parvo. She was at our vet the next afternoon. Thank goodness they were able to find someone to transport her the four hours here on a moments notice.

After four days of intensive fluid therapy and lots of special care, Cassie turned the corner and was able to come home. She hasn’t slowed down since. Only abut a year old and just over seven pounds, this little sweetheart is going to make someone a wonderful and active companion.

Cassie’s medical bills were just under $1,000. If you would like to donate to our medical fund, so we can help other little ones in need, you can use the Paypal link or send a check to:

ADOPTED! 01/26/2008

Bridget

Birthday approx February 2006

Bridget and her sister, Bianca, were found as strays in the Clovis area.

Before we even posted them Bianca was adopted by a family on our waiting list looking for a dog like her.

Bridget is probably a Chihuahua x Rat Terrier mix. She weighs just over eight pounds and is very athletic and active. She loves people, but is just a bit intimidated by strangers. Once she knows them she is so excited to get kisses and hugs. She has the prettiest face and squints her eyes so sweetly when she is happy.

ADOPTED! 12/22/2007

Quincy

Birthday approx August 2006.

Quincy is one of two Chihuahua cross dogs we took in from Juarez, Mexico through an organization called Compassion Without Borders. They take animals from the shelters that are highly adoptable, give them vaccinations, veterinary care and keep them in foster homes for a minimum of a two week quarantine before transporting them to New Mexico or Texas for placement with rescue organizations for adoption. They also work with the locals to provide low-cost spay/neuter and vaccinations in an effort to reduce pet over population, as well.

Electrocution is the means of euthanasia at their animal shelters. Compassion Without Borders is also working on bringing chemical euthanasia practices to the area.

Quincy weighs just under eight pounds and has a lovely red fawn coat. He is still very puppyish, likes to play with the other dogs - especially his big Lab buddy, during the day but loves to cuddle at night. He is housebroken and enjoys learning new tricks. We would love to find a home with mature children for this active little guy.

ADOPTED! 01/15/2008

Justin

Birthday approx January 18, 2007

Terminally cute, Justin is some kind of mix with Chihuahua, and the sweetest little love bug. He has a broken leg that has been set and it appears it will heal completely. When he is ready for a home we will look for one that can keep up with the wild and crazy guy that he is . . .

UPDATE: Justin’s leg healed beautifully, and he is running and playing with the other foster dogs. He is a very sweet and loving little boy. He does well with the other dogs, loves his foster mom and likes to meet other people - men and women alike. Justin weighs about seven pounds, and is just about done growing up.

What a sweetheart! Don’t you just love how his little lower teeth show when he smiles?!

ADOPTED! 01/07/2008

Bravo

Birthday estimated 4-21-2001

Some of the stories behind our little guys just don’t make sense. Bravo, a nearly starved, intact male, was found as a stray in Albuquerque. The finder couldn’t keep him, they had larger dogs and their fence wasn’t safe for a little guy, so asked us to find him a good home, if the owner wasn’t found. We said 'yes' and put him in a foster home. We posted a found ad in the paper, reported to the city, and with Animal Humane. The finders put up fliers in the neighborhood where he was found.

After several days someone called to reclaim him - they had seen one of the fliers. This has happened several times before. People find a dog, make every effort to find an owner - yet the owner has done NOTHING to find the lost dog.

Turns out the woman who claimed him had found Bravo as a stray about a month before she lost him. I asked what she did to find his owner - NOTHING. So who really owns the dog? Caught in an impossible situation we surrendered him to the shelter for the owner to reclaim. They did not have the money to pay the fee so we were able to get this handsome boy back into rescue and get him ready for a new - responsible - home.

ADOPTED! 01/07/2008

Tyson

Birthday approx June 2001.

A charming six and a half pound with huge ears and big eyes, Tyson is a true Chihuahua. His about six years old and has a “frosted black” coat. Many black Chihuahuas develop frosting around their eyes and on their noses at an early age. Tyson shows the early white hairs on his eyes, nose and toes.

He is also a bit wary of strangers, which is pretty typical of the breed, as well. Once he gets to know you he loves to be cuddled and snuggled. He gets along well with other small and large dogs, but prefers the sofa to the great outdoors.

This handsome little boy would do best in a home with teenaged children or an empty nest that needs to be filled with love.

ADOPTED! 12/09/2007

Ralphie

Birthday Approximately 5-5-06

This is Ralphie --- 9 lbs of pure joy.  What a handsome little boy with a heart of gold!  He loves attention and cuddling up with people who can just shower him with the love he deserves!

He was adopted from a shelter in California but ended up as a stray in Bosque Farms. We have not been able to track down the previous owner so are looking for a home that can give him a lifetime of love.

He is such a sweet little fellow that will fit into any home like a champ.  He would be a great companion for anybody who wants a perfect companion for life! He is such a great boy and very smart!  He would do great in a home watching television, out on a boat watching and playing in the water, or even hiking in the mountains.  I have no doubt that he would excel in agility as well--so if you are looking for that perfect partner for this fun sport look no further.  Here he is --- the perfect big dog in a little body that you can take anywhere with you!!!

ADOPTED! 12/29/2007 Happy New Year
